Future music created by a journey to the past...
Made of Wood is a chillout downtempo funk project created using a range of acoustic and electronic, live and sampled sounds. Many of the sampled sounds come from alterations of Made of Wood's own performances and improvisations.
The inspirations for the sounds are wide-ranging: from Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack, to the Meters, Parliament Funkadelic, Herbie Hancock, Radiohead and Air.
In Feb 2012 Made of Wood's The Chill/Funk Trip was released to glowing reviews.
Currently in the works is Narcotherapy Hypnosis, an album that fuses 60's and 70's musical styles with psychedelic synths and more eclectic sounds and moods. The release date is June 5, 2014.
